After Your Appointment

Do not play or touch your tooth gem right after application.
No eating for one hour.
Avoid smoking for one hour.
Eat only soft foods and nothing really hot or sticky for the next 12 hours.
Resume normal oral homecare routine.
Brush twice a day with a fluoridated toothpaste and floss one time a day as before. Make sure all plaque and food debris is removed thoroughly daily.
Avoid using an electric toothbrush for the first 48 hours.
Do not bleach your teeth or use any UV Lighting system while gems are on your teeth.
It is recommended to have tooth jewelry removed no longer than six months by your dentist or dental hygienist to ensure the health of your teeth.

Can I still have my teeth cleaned with a tooth gem?

Yes. We encourage you to see the dentist for a dental cleaning in accordance with your hygiene recall. For some that is every three months and others, every six months.

What happens if I swallow a tooth gem?

Don't worry. Our products are very small and biocompatible. They are neither sharp or toxic. Gems will pass through your system as would food.

Can tooth gems be removed?

Dental gems and charms can easily and safely be removed from the tooth or teeth. Stone and Ivory recommends having tooth jewelry removed after six months although they may last longer. Temporary tooth gems can be removed at home otherwise, visit your dentist or dental hygienist for gem and charm removal.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We will replace any tooth gem that prematurely falls off at no charge. Guarantee is good for the first week after placement and client must show proof of purchase from Stone and Ivory. The one-time replacement will be the same placement and gem previously purchased. This does not apply to temporary or short-term Tooth Gem applications.
